RAEN, a leading premium eyewear brand, has launched its latest collection, which features frames made with M49 acetate from Mazzucchelli and ZEISS Sustainable Polymaide Lenses.

The Mazzucchelli M49 Bio Acetate is both bio-based and biodegradable. Instead of traditional petroleum-based plasticizers, this bio-based acetate uses natural materials and renewable sources to create a high-quality product that performs as well as any other acetates.

“We are proud to partner with Mazzucchelli, a leader in sustainable materials, for our latest collection. By incorporating M49 Bio Acetate into our designs, we are taking a significant step towards an eco-friendlier future,” says RAEN Co-founder and Design Director Jordan Percy. “This partnership allows us to combine our passion for timeless designs with Mazzucchelli’s innovative bio-based material, creating a premium feel and look that RAEN has become known for.”

At the forefront of this collection are sunglasses Remmy and Huxton, both available in Cascade – nature’s ethereal transition from smokey depths to atmospheric transparent beauty. Wiley in Fennel represents freshness and vitality. Rece in Clove boasts a warm and earthy tone. Rune in Cava with its pale and subtle champagne-like hue adds an air of elegance. Nikol in Breeze is light and airy and emanates a refreshing and calm vibe. Phonos in Lagoon is a captivating shade of blue-green and conjures images of pristine waters. Mystiq in Golden Hour radiates warmth, evoking a sense of nostalgia and bliss.

The Bio Acetate Collection expands to their optical frames. The Cleese and Saint Malo II in Ash – this captivating grey hue carries a certain understated beauty that exudes a subtle and serene aura. Beal and Soph in Tropic – both exude a warm and soothing quality, reminiscent of sun-kissed sands. Nolan in Lagoon offers the same captivating color from our sun frame, Phonos. Del in Saffron – this beautiful transition captures the essence of a gradual shift from the intense and energetic saffron shade to a subtle and calming lightness. Nevill in Marrakesh is a warm and earthy shade that reflects the richness and depts of Marrakesh.

“RAEN is a brand that we’ve admired for quite some time. Their values and their approach to design align closely with ours—we both put quality and craftsmanship at the forefront of everything we do,” said Elena Orsi Mazzucchelli, Product Development Manager “It’s been a pleasure to collaborate with them on this collection, which showcases products capable of combining beauty, refinement and sustainability.”

RAEN has partnered with lens manufacturer Zeiss and incorporating the new Zeiss Sustainable Polymaide lenses into the collection, which are made partially of bio-based materials and produce 50% less CO2 emissions in production.

Earlier this year, RAEN successfully released The Recycled Black Collection which utilized a groundbreaking acetate made from 100% recycled materials. This marks another significate step in RAEN’s mission to create premium frames with a lighter environmental footprint.

The Bio Acetate Collection retails for 149.95 USD and is conveniently available on raen.com and can also be found at select specialty retail locations globally, including optical outlets.
