Angela Lynette Seal Cothern, age 54 passed away on August 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Angela was a resident of Angie and a graduate of Bogalusa High School. Angela and Craig Randall Cothern were united in marriage March 4, 1988 and in 1991, Angela and Craig welcomed twin daughters Shanda and Amanda. The girls brought Craig and Angela so much joy and being mom was one of Angela’s most important roles.

Angela enjoyed crocheting, crafts, reading, cooking, trying new recipes, and spending time with family. Angela’s dogs were also very special to her. Additionally, Angela had a special place in her heart for all of her un-biological kids, as described by her daughter Manda. Angela loved traveling to the Tennessee to see the great Smokey Mountains. Angela was a selfless woman who always put others before herself.

Angela had a contagious laugh, a smile like no one else, and you knew by the tone of her voice what mood she was in. She was always late for every thing and she had her own unique way of communicating. Angela was outgoing, funny, and had weird sense of humor. Angela would tell it like it is and say it like it is. Angela had a strong work ethic and no matter what happened she found a way to get things done. She wouldn’t take no for an answer and never gave up.

Angela was a very slow driver and usually had her reading glasses and sunglasses on top of her head most of the time. Her hair was always in her face and she would run in the store for a minute talk to everyone, even people she didn’t know, which at times, left her family sitting in the car for a hours! Angela was described as a TikTok queen, which drove Craig a little crazy.

In 2010, Shanda welcomed son Brayden, which made Angela a nana. One of the greatest joys of her life was being Brayden’s nana. They shared a special bond and Angela ensured Brayden was always cared for. Angela also had a special bond with her niece Sierra who was born in 2003. They loved to cook together and be creative. Angela was the best aunt Andie ever.

Angela is survived by her husband Craig R. Cothern; daughter Amanda L. Cothern; grandson Brayden K. Cothern; sister Melissa M. Seal; niece Sierra White, aunt Paula Sue (Leo) Stewart, and aunt Elsie (Hubert) Freeman. As well as numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
