Thélios, LVMH Eyewear Excellence, is revealing key eyewear styles from its luxury Maisons at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (1-5 October).

Thélios, LVMH’s in-house luxury eyewear company, was founded in 2017 and has been ramping up its travel retail focus over the last two years. The company will be presenting the eyewear collections from its stellar portfolio of brands including Dior, Fendi and Loewe.

In May, Thélios unveiled a new visual identity during its Fall Convention in Rome. The event, attended by The Moodie Davitt Report Brands Director Hannah Tan-Gillies, introduced new styles and debuted a new company logo with the baseline ‘LVMH Eyewear Excellence’.

Thélios Head of Global Travel Retail Alessandro Eucaliptus commented: “Thélios is delighted to reveal its luxury Maisons’ eyewear statements for the travel retail channel. We are looking forward to the TFWA event in Cannes, where we will be showcasing our full GTR ranges for new and existing partners from around the world.

Dior Signature was introduced in the fall/winter 2021 eyewear collection and has since become one of the Maison’s essential styles. The line was created by Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri and plays with facets and volumes, giving a modern twist to the elegant acetate shape.

The cat-eye sunglasses pay tribute to the Dior Book Tote handbag and is photo-engraved and lacquered on the arms. The front features golden dots and lines which transition to the temple.

CD Diamond debuted during the Dior Men’s spring/summer 2022 runway show. The CD Diamond line offers timeless silhouettes inspired by the Maison’s archives. The front is crafted in bold acetate with sharp angles embellished with CD Diamond pins, while the temples feature a metal wire core engraved with the CD Diamond pattern. The style is elegant with a classic squared shape that gives a vintage feel.

The Fendi First eyewear line made its debut in the fall/winter 2022 fashion show in a metal style. Today, the revamped acetate line introduces bold new styles which take inspiration from the Fendi First bag. The sunglasses’ elegant rectangular shape with contrasting oval gradient lenses feature the brand’s F logo on the temples.

The Fendigraphy sunglasses were inspired by the new hero Fendi bag. It was first launched as a menswear style during the fall/winter 2022 runway show. The futuristic eyewear range features a rectangular silhouette in bold acetate. The temples feature a super-sized Fendi script logo on a tone-on-tone matte metal line.

The Celine Triomphe sunglasses feature the archival Triomphe logo which is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe

Celine Triomphe features an elegant oval silhouette in acetate. It is part of the Maison’s Triomphe line and features a gold Triomphe logo on the temples. The style, first introduced in 2021, marked the first time that the Triomphe logo has been used in sunglasses. The logo is taken from the Celine archives by Creative Director Hedi Slimane. It symbolises the chains encircling the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and is inspired by neoclassical and vintage motifs.

The Givenchy GIV Cut sunglasses are the first sunglasses style to be produced entirely via 3D printing

The Givenchy GIV Cut was first introduced in the men’s spring/summer 2023 show and featured again during the women’s summer collection. The eyewear style represents a new frontier in the category as the entire line is fully 3D-printed. The fashion-forward design features dramatic angles and extreme volumes with the brand’s G logo on the temples.

Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson reimagines the classic cat-eye silhouette with the Anagram sunglasses

The Loewe Anagram sunglasses is inspired by Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s natural design inspirations. The design reimagines the classic cat-eye shape in a bold oversized silhouette with an ultra-flat front and metal embellishments. Part of the Anagram sunglasses family, the style features the Loewe logo on the temples and is available in a range of pastel and nature-inspired colourways. ✈
